Viparita Karani Posture (Legs Up The Wall):

Health - Yoga

How to do it:

A gently inverted posture which is practised by lying on the back with the legs placed up the wall. A cushion or blanket can also be placed under the hips. Every day 3-5 mins will give you the required benefits of the pose.

Benefits:

- Regulates blood flow.
- Alleviates menstrual cramps.
- Restores tired feet and legs.
- Relieves swollen ankles and varicose veins.
- Improves digestion.

The posture reverses the usual pull of gravity and increases circulation to all organs. It gives the heart a rest by slowing the heart rate which in turn creates a sense of wellbeing & relaxation.
